RALLYING HISTORY/BIOG:
Learnt to drive at the age 13 when I started Autograss racing in a Mini Clubman, also competed in my 1st road rally that same year with my dad in his….Vauxhall Frontera! Was great on the moors as we could take big cuts.

Did a few more road rallies until I was 16 but couldn’t get into them, so as soon as I was 16 I started Stage Rallying and won the 1st ever stage rally I competed in, the Oak Leaf Stages alongside Paul Haberlin in a Group A Evo 8. Also went onto claim 5 other class awards that year on a variety of different rallies.
I did my 1st Forest Rally in 2007, alongside Paul Martin in a F1000 Peugeot 205; I won class A of the F1000 Forest championship and also competed on a number of other forest rallies with various drivers.

I did my first International in 2008, the Jim Clark Rally with Martin Laverty in his C2R2, and despite a fraught rally where we encountered various over heating issues we finished. I also competed on the Trackrod Rally with Martin as well as doing the Manx National with Lee Perry in his Escort WRC.

In 2009 I started university, so decided to take a step back and do the BTRDA Rally First championship with Matt Griffin in a VW Lupo. We won the RF1.4 class as well as numerous class awards throughout the year. I also managed to go over to Belgium and do a ‘club’ rally over there…what an experience! I also got to do the Isle of Man Rally with Belgian N1 champion, Renaud Bronkart.
In 2010 I continued with Matt in the BTRDA, but we had a tough year and ended up missing out on a championship award, although we did manage to win our class on the Wyedean rally. The main highlight though was competing on the Tour of Flanders with Dick Archer in his S1600 Corsa; the whole experience was mind blowing, and despite a number of problems (including dropping 16 minutes with offs and punctures) we managed 2nd in class just missing the class win by 46 seconds.

For 2011, I stuck with Matt Griffin, but this time we stepped upto the 1.4L class in BTRDA, which we went onto win quite comfortably. I also became English Junior Champion and English E2 Champion. In 2011, I also competed on the BRCC with Matthew Jackson, we had a tough year with 2 DNF’s on the 3 rounds we did, but on the Jim Clark it all came good and we won our class in the Super 1000 Micra. I also became the youngest co-driver with the Pirelli Kick Energy J1000 championship, co-driving for Calvin Beattie on my 21st Birthday. I also tried my hand at road rallying again, in both seats, with various success; I won the Illuminations Novice class navigating for Matt Broadbent in his Volvo…all smiles per mile.

In 2012, I will partner Chris Ingram in his Twingo R2 as we attempt to win the Twingo R2 championship as well as battle for the R2 class within the overall BRC. I will also be contesting the J1000 championship again as well finish off my final year at uni.
