BRC launches "online" British Rally Radio

The MSA British Rally Championship is pleased to announce the introduction of its dedicated radio station: British Rally Radio, which will broadcast over the internet for the duration of each of the championship’s six rounds.

The station goes on air for the first time at 10.00am on Friday (24th February) ahead of the opening round of the BRC – the Dorset-based Rallye Sunseeker – and continues for the duration of the event on Saturday and up to Sunday night. Working together with the event and championship organisers, the broadcasts will report the latest news, provide regular result updates and include interviews with the competitors.

Added to this there will also be special features, weather reports, music and the appearance of special guests.  Plus, roving reporters will be out and about on the stages and in the service area to provide up-to-date information and news as it happens.

“The British Rally Championship strives to provide as much coverage and information as possible for the public and spectators and radio is yet another way for us to promote the teams, the championship and our partners to a wider audience”, said Championship Manager Mark Taylor. “We have trialled radio broadcasts on our events for the past couple of years and I am delighted that we now have our own dedicated station. It adds yet another dimension to our communication stream and even more added value for everyone involved with the championship.”

The radio broadcasts can be accessed from the British Rally Championship website: www.rallybrc.co.uk, or on smart phones via the recently launched App, which can be downloaded in Android or iPhone format by searching for ‘British Rally Championship’ in the Android Market or App store.
